Christmas 2011

Just wanted to post pics of Christmas this year.  We had a wonderful quiet morning and then went to Church.  We spent the rest of the day playing, wait I mean the kids spent the day playing Gary and I spent the day cleaning.

Happy Holidays everyone and I have more pics posted on FB.

Finally Pics From The Party

Well this year we had a great turn out.  Thank you to everyone who came.  As always we had a great time.  Here are this years party pics.  Happy Holidays and we will see you at our house next December.
Hawaiian Themed Dinner

Time for our white elephant game.
Look a moose that poops jelly beans.  Yummy moose poop.
The fortune teller gift was a hot item
I think this gift may have been movie tickets but no one would confirm that.
So exciting
Look at these two cute party people
Steve did a great job surviving the party without Amy to help with the kids.
And by far the best gift of the night was brought by Shane and yes that is a picture of Gary.  It was open by Amber Graves who wanted to keep this awesome artwork but at the end of the night traded me for some PlayDoh.  I stole the PlayDoh from the Ahees who in return ended up with the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, someday to be a movie classic.

5th Annual Cobine Christmas Party Dec 17th

It's almost here!  Time to party and celebrate the year with our friends and neighbors.  This year's theme is a Hawaiian Theme and everyone is encouraged to wear their best Hawaiian shirts or their hula skirts.

As always we (the adults) will be playing white elephant.  Bring either one gift per person or per couple.  Please keep gifts under $10 and we encourage re-gifting as well as being a dirty Santa (wrapping a used item).

Dinner for the kids will be served at 6pm followed by the adults.  Child care will be provided.

Hope to see you all there 652.4498

We're Back From The Islands

We have returned from the Islands of Hawaii, and we had a wonderful time.  We arrived in Maui on Tuesday.  Spent the entire day at the beach with our good friends the Eyres.  We went to the beach and played in the sand and surf.

Had and Cam back together again, like Pb and Jelly.

On Thanksgiving Day I ran a 16 mile race with one of the Maui running clubs.  I lead the women the first 8 miles, and then.... the next 7 miles were up hill.  Not a little hill, but up the side of a crater.  I lost my standing.  And I must say the running clubs in Maui are no joke.  There were no mile markers and only two unmanned water stations.  I didn't even find the first water station.  After my race, Aja and I cooked our turkey who I named Pablo.  He was a very tasty bird.

Uma and I working on Pablo for dinner.  I was still in my race clothes.

Friday, again we explored the island and took the Eyres to our favorite beach DT Flemming.  Our kids just had the best time and hanging out with the Eyre family made us want to move to Hawaii even more.

We then went to Oahu.  I can tell you now that Waikiki is not our place.  But we did have a good time and loved the Northshore.  We had a chance to check our the Triple Crown and spent most of our time on the beach.

The only low point we had on this trip is that Uma and Fox both had the stomach flu. So the Hilton Grand Vacation Club house keeping staff may not love us.  Both kids have fully recovered now and everyone is happy to be home with our pets and getting ready for Christmas.

The Holidays are almost here

We are happy that we will be spending another wonderful Thanksgiving with the Eyre family near their new home is wonderful Maui.  We love the islands so and wish we too could move out that way.  We will post lots of pics of the trip we promise.

Until then check out my batman crew from the Marsden's Halloween Party.  We had a great time and Uma won a prize for her costume (because I asked Julie to write her name down as a winner).  But sadly neither Gary's chili (purchased from Wendy's) or mine (Hormel Can Chili) won the chili contest.  I guess it does not pay to cheat.

The boys went to school as "Mean Girls"  Regina George and Gretchen Weiner.  Payton said all the kids clapped as he came into his first period class.

So I didn't post all summer...sorry:(

I didn't post all summer so to catch you all up on the Cobine Family, well we are busy, as always.  This summer we had some great fun taking some small family trips including our first out to Lake Powell.

The biggest thing that happened to me personally was that I have lost 77lbs this year!  I went from a size 16 to a 0.  It's been an amazing journey.  I ran and 1/2 marathon and the St George marathon.  I didn't train for any of them but did better than I thought I would.  To learn more about my weightloss journey and how I am doing it please check out my website and blog at www.beachbodycoach.com/amycobine or go to www.2fatfor2long.com

The kids are all now in school including Uma.  Uma and Fox are both in preschool and loving it!  Fox loves to sing and we knew he was at the right school when his teach said "smell" was a way to learn.  Uma is doing very well in class and a teacher asked if she was 3 the other day, I assume because she acts older than 2.  Uma potty trained in June in one week!  We are so proud of her.  And Uma is now in dance class, and gets to play tea party after class each week.  So much fun.

Payton started 5th grade and back in football, however he will be sitting the last game out do to a broken hand.  Hadley is in 2nd grade and spends most of his time building with legos.  He has built some awesome things.

All the boys have been running with me and Uma likes to hike with me.  She rides in the backpack and I haul her up the mountain.

Gary is doing well as always.  He now has two boats and no jeeps.

We will be in Hawaii for two weeks in Nov and will post lots of pics.  And as always we are planning our Christmas Party.  Invites get ordered this week and the menu is being put together.  Fun times to share with our friends.

So much fun this weekend.

We decided Wed to take the kids to Disneyland on Friday.  Once again, we decided not to tell them but to let them figure it out on the way.  My prediction was that they would figure it out somewhere around the CA border.  And sure enough about 10 mins past the CA check point and many hints Payton asked if we were going to Disneyland.

We have never been to Disneyland so early in the year, so it has been a bit colder than we are use to.  And Friday night it was pouring rain.  We (and by we I mean the kids) opted not to go to the park Friday when we arrived but instead to get their extra day in on Monday.

So yesterday, our first day in the park was great.  We made this weekend about just being together and we have had a ton of fun.  Payton and I must have walked for 11 hours.  And Payton and I were the only two people who returned to the park after dinner.  It was so cold the first thing we did was buy sweatshirts.  Once I had my big sweatshirt on, Payton said I looked strange "like one of those ordinary moms."   I think I will take that as a compliment.

Today we hit California Disney and Gary's parents arrive in about an hour (they haven't been here in 20 plus years).   To see pics go to my facebook.

Uma's Bday

I know I don't post much.  But wanted to post Uma's Birthday pics and what a great time she had at her Princess Tea Party.  She is such a wonderful princess.
Hey we are trying to update this thing!  Gary wants to post jeep pics.  DUMB!
